'New Students' video transcript

Male (Senior student)
Hi there, you look lost. Can I help you out with anything?

Female (new student)
Yeah, I'm a new student, but I'm not really sure what to do now. Seems like I have lots to do before I even start classes.

Male (Senior student)
Ahh, it's easy. But first, welcome to UniSA!
I know it all seems overwhelming now but it's really quite simple. Just think of it as three easy steps.
Enrolling
Orientation
and signing-up for your Student Portal.

Female (new student)
Okay. Is enrolment just choosing my timetable?

Male (Senior student)
More or less. It helps if you sign up for the courses you want to take each study period and pick your class times. Orientation includes activities that will help you get familiar with the campuses and what's available to help you with your studies. People have a lot of fun and it's a great way to make friends and kick-start your study.

Female (new student)
Yeah, I'm looking forward to that.

Male (Senior student)
And don't forget about your Student Portal. It's a web-based resource where you get to check your timetable, assignments, results and things that are specific to you. You will also need to regularly access your uni email from there and check important announcements.

Female (new student)
Sounds good so far.

Male (Senior student)
Yeah, you'll be fine. Just follow the three steps and you're on your way. And remember, if you get stuck, there's always Campus Central. There's one on each campus and it's a great one-stop shop for everything to do with your studies. Campus Central staff are really friendly and they'll be able to help answer any questions you have.
How about we go to a computer pool while you're here and I can help you with your online enrolment.
