Assurance Services
Assurance Services provides an independent, objective assurance activity
to improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance
processes across UniSA. It coordinates audit, risk management and
legislative compliance activities, and has a reporting line to Council
through the Audit and Risk Management Committee.

Chancellery
Chancellery is home to the offices of the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor,
Senior Managers and their support staff. The principal role of the
Chancellery is to support the efficient and effective transmission of
information to and from the University’s senior management and senior
governing bodies to individuals and groups within and beyond the
University’s community.

Facilities Management Unit (FMU)
The Facilities Management Unit provides support to the University's
teaching, research and support functions and comprises of five groups,
Campus Operations Group, Capital Development Group, Maintenance Operations
Group, Business Operations Group and Commercial Services.

Finance Unit
The Finance Unit provides financial services to the University including
processing of transactions by providing appropriate finance forms,
monitoring the use of credit cards and assisting staff members with travel,
insurance and tax advice.

Human Resources Unit (HRU)
The Human Resources Unit provides strategic HR leadership to encourage
best practice in the management of the staff of the University. It supports
a distributed human resources environment through leadership, policy
development, senior operational services, consultancy and advice. The HR
Unit reports directly to the Vice Chancellor.

Information Strategy and Technology Services (ISTS)
ISTS provides
- core underlying communication services such as data networks, telephone systems, e-mail, and access to the internet, on campus computer pools, barns and walk ups,
- an IT Help Desk to assist students and staff,
- technical support and development of the systems including the staff and student portal, research management system, human resource and the finance systems,
- technical support and development of the University's data integration hub, warehouse and business intelligence environment.

Learning and Teaching Unit (LTU)
The Learning and Teaching Unit works collaboratively with UniSA staff and
students in Divisions and Units to create a culture of excellence and
scholarship in teaching, learning and research education that is innovative
and inclusive.

Library
The Library plays a significant role in supporting the University’s
teaching learning and research mission through the provision of relevant
information resources and associated services. It provides print and
electronic resources, information and information literacy programs. UniSA
Staff and students may use and borrow from the Library at any campus.

Marketing and Development Unit (MDU)
MDU is committed to the successful promotion of the University and its
strengths and diversities. The Unit plays a key strategic role in student
recruitment and the promotion of the University’s research and business
activities.

Planning and Institutional Performance (PIP)
Planning and Institutional Performance has a major role in supporting
corporate planning and review and the development and implementation of
strategic information management and reporting competency in the University.
PIP also provides expert advice, information and support in relation to:
strategic projects, government reporting, quality assurance, UniSA’s
evaluation framework, environmental scanning and market research.

Research and Innovation Services (RIS)
Research and Innovation Services encourages and facilitates research
activity by providing advice on research policy implementation and
interpretation; providing legal advice in relation to research and
consultancy; administering research grants and fellowships; managing
research degrees; collecting, maintaining and distributing research
information; and monitoring, assessing and approving ethics and compliance
aspects of research projects.

Student and Academic Services Unit (SAS)
Student and Academic Services is the central point of contact for advice
and assistance in all aspects of student and academic administration.

UniSA International (UI)
UniSA International provides leadership, coordination and strategic
direction for all international activities undertaken by the University of
South Australia. Its key role is to embed internationalisation in all
University activities and to support the University’s international business
development strategy.
