Hong Kong graduates celebrate distant studies at a local level

It will be a milestone for 66 Hong Kong graduates this week when they celebrate the completion of their University of South Australia degree studies at an official award ceremony on their own home turf.

The ceremony to be held at the Grand Hyatt, Hong Kong at 7 pm Saturday July 21, will honour the achievements of students from the University’s divisions of Business and Enterprise, IT, Engineering and the Environment and Health Sciences.

In all 58 of the graduates have completed a Masters qualification in Business Administration.

The keynote speaker at the awards ceremony will be Vice President of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Dr Lui Sun-wing. Dr Lui Sun-wing has extensive experience with the Hong Kong Productivity Council serving the council from 1981 to 2000 when he took up his new position with the Polytechnic.

Both the University of South Australia’s Vice Chancellor Professor Denise Bradley and Chancellor David Klingberg will attend the ceremony along with senior managers from the University, Professor Kevin O’Brien Pro Vice Chancellor Business and Enterprise and other senior academics.

The University of South Australia celebrates its 10th Birthday this year and embraces a growing population of international students from 70 countries around the world. 

UniSA graduates in Hong Kong will get together to celebrate the 10-year birthday at the Luk Kwok Hotel, Glouster Road, Wanchai, on Friday July 20 from 5pm.
