The
Associate Degree in Built Environment
is a two-year program that educates and trains students to a para-professional
level in building and construction management. The program is identical to
the first two years of the Bachelor of Built Environment. Students who
successfully complete the Associate Degree are eligible to apply for
admission to the third year of the Bachelor of Built Environment
The Bachelor of Built Environment is a
three-year program that provides the education and training necessary to
enter the sector of the construction industry dealing with residential and
low rise buildings. The program is identical to the first three years of the
Bachelor of Construction Management & Economics (Hons).
The
Bachelor of Construction Management & Economics
is the only construction management degree in South Australia and is one of
the most accredited construction management and economics programs in
Australia. The degree aims to provide the education and training required to
reach a professional level in the building industry, quantity surveying
and/or building surveying profession.
All students undertake a minimum of 80 days of supervised
industrial experience as part of the program. This industry-based learning
allows students to experience the industry they are preparing for and to
make valuable contacts for when they graduate.
Students who successfully complete the Bachelor of Built Environment can
articulate into the fourth year of the
Bachelor of Construction Management & Economics (Hons)
provided they apply through SATAC.
