How does the Earth Work? What can we do to manage it?
 

Are you worried about Planet Earth? Do you know about the Greenhouse effect or Global Warming?  Are you interested in mineral resources, alternative energy, water resources and soil salinity management? Have you ever considered whether cyclones, tsunamis or bush fires could destroy your home town?

If you’re interested in natural disasters, why they occur and how you can manage the aftermath, then this degree is for you!

What on Earth is a degree in sustainable environments?

 

The Bachelor of Sustainable Environments (Geographical and Earth Systems) will provide you with the broad knowledge in geography, geology and earth systems science needed to assist in natural hazard management and abatement planning. Graduates work locally and internationally to predict natural disasters, manage recovery projects, and educate the community, government and businesses.

This program was designed in response to the number and frequency of natural disasters and their impact on humans and the environment. The degree fulfils the requirements of industry for multi-skilled professionals across a broad range of disciplines.
