Awarded to the most outstanding first year student in the Bachelor of Applied Science (Conservation and Park Management) or the Bachelor of Applied Science (Biodiversity, Environmental and Park Management) program. Value:  $500 worth of camping or field equipment
 

The Prize for Academic Excellence in Biodiversity, Environmental and Park Management Studies

To be awarded to the most outstanding graduating student from the Bachelor of Applied Science (Biodiversity, Environmental and Park Management) program, selected on the basis of the highest grade point average achieved in the second and third years of the program. Value:  $250
 

The Prize for Academic Excellence in Park Management Studies

To be awarded to the most outstanding graduating student majoring in Park Management in the Bachelor of Applied Science (Biodiversity, Environmental and Park Management) program, selected on the basis of the highest grade point average achieved in the second and third years of the program. Australian Institute of
Building, South Australian Chapter - Associate Degree in Built Environment (Building) Award (First Year Student)

Awarded to the student of the Associate Degree in Built Environment completing all the courses in stage 1 of the program with the highest aggregate marks for all those courses.  Value:  Certificate and one year’s student membership of the Australian Institute of Building.
 

Australian Institute of Building, South Australian Chapter - Associate Degree in Built Environment  (Building) Award (Graduand)

Awarded to the student completing the Associate Degree in Built Environment with the highest marks for the whole of the program.  Value:  Books to the value of $100

AITPM Prize for Transportation

Awarded to the Civil Engineering student with the best overall performance in the undergraduate course Transportation Engineering. Value:  The prize will comprise a cash award of $200, a plaque, and a one year membership of the Institute
 

Australian Steel Institute Prize

Annual prize offered to the student who demonstrates the greatest proficiency in steel structures in the third year of the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering) program or associated double degree programs.  Value:  $200 plus certificate
 

B P Opie Memorial Prize

Awarded to the most outstanding student or students in the Civil Engineering Honours Project 1N and 2N.
Value:  $200

 

BlueScope Steel - IMEA Award

Awarded annually to the student who achieves the most outstanding results in the course Engineering Materials N.
Value:  ASM Handbook Desk Edition, value of approximately $500
 

D G Moye Memorial Prize (Civil Engineering)

Awarded to the student who achieves the most outstanding result in Introductory and Environmental Geology in the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering) program or an associated double degree program..Value:  $250
 

Engineers Australia - University of South Australia - Keith Johinke Medal

An annual award consisting of a $200 cash premium and The Keith Johinke Medal is awarded to a student in the final year of a Bachelor of Engineering program. Selection is made with the emphasis on academic achievement, but personal qualities will also be assessed by an interview panel.  Value:  $200 and a medal

Awarded annually to the most outstanding student from the final year of the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering) program or associated double degree program.  Value:  $225
 

Local Government Engineers Prize

Awarded to the student in the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering) [or associated double degree] program who gains the highest aggregate marks in the courses Mechanics and Structures, Introductory and Environmental Geology, Geoinformatics for Engineers and Fluid and Energy (completed in the same year).   Value:  $200
 

Lysaght Award for Outstanding Achievement

Awarded to the student in the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering) program or associated double degree programs who obtains the highest aggregate marks in the same year in the courses Structural Engineering 1, Structural Engineering 2, Rock and Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering N.  Value:  $750
 

SRIA Prize for Reinforced Concrete Design

Awarded to a Civil Engineering student for excellence, innovation and effort in the third year reinforced concrete design project.  In case of a tie or joint project, examination results will determine the winner.  Value:  $500, plus certificate and a book
 

The Sir William Goodman Civil Engineering Prize

Awarded to the most outstanding student in the final year of the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering) program or associated double degree program. Value:  $100

Awarded to the student in the Bachelor of Construction, Economics and Management program for the highest aggregate mark in the courses Construction Management 1N and 2N.  Value:  Books to the value of $100
 

Australian Institute of Building Surveyors, SA Chapter Student Awards

To be awarded to the student achieving the highest overall marks upon completing their final year in the Bachelor of Construction, Economics and Management (Honours) (Building Surveying option).  All students must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia.  Value:  $600
 

Australian Institute of Building, South Australian Chapter - Chapter Medal

Awarded to the best student who has completed all of the Bachelor of Construction, Economics and Management program, and who in the opinion of the Head of School, has performed most creditably throughout his/her course.  Value:  Medal and a certificate
 

Australian Institute of Building, South Australian Chapter - H F Sarah Award

Awarded annually to the best second year student in the Bachelor of Construction, Economics and Management program.  The student must have completed the first two years of full-time study in the program, or its equivalent in part-time study, and will be not more than 25 years of age at 31 December of the second year. The student must be a member of the Australian Institute of Building.  Value:  One week's accommodation and fare paid to visit either Singapore, New Zealand or an Australian capital city. A full written report of the visit must be submitted to the Institute.
 

Australian Institute of Building, South Australian Chapter - R A O'Neill Award

Awarded to the final year student in the Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics who submitted the best Building Research projects 1 and 2 for the year.  Value:  Certificate, reference books and/or equipment

Awarded to the student in the Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics for the highest aggregate mark in the courses Construction Science 1, 2 and 3.  Value:  $300
 

Master Builders Association Prize

Awarded to the student achieving the highest overall marks in the Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics final year Construction Management elective, in the courses Construction Management 3 and Construction Management 4.  Value:  $400 plus certificate
 

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - Book Prize

Awarded annually to a final year student with the highest aggregate marks in the courses Quantity Surveying 2N and 3N or Building Surveying 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Economics Construction, Management and Economics program. Value: Book voucher to the value of £40

Awarded to the most meritorious student completing the Bachelor of Earth Information Systems or the Bachelor of Geographic Information Systems programs.  Value:  $150 plus MISA Membership at the Member grade (value $105), a plaque and certificate

Awarded to the most meritorious student completing the Associate Degree in Geographic Information Systems.  Value:  $150 plus MISA Membership at the Associate Member grade (value $85), a plaque and certificate.

Consulting Surveyors, South Australia Inc Golden Plumb-Bob Award

Awarded annually to the student judged to have presented the best project in the courses Project in Surveying A and B or the Honours Project 1 and 2 in the Bachelor of Geoinformatics and Surveying.  Value:  $200 and a Golden Plumb-Bob trophy
 

Institution of Surveyors Prize

Awarded to a full-time or part-time student who achieves the most meritorious results over the whole program of Bachelor of Geoinformatics and Surveying.  Value:  $200
 

R W Paynter Memorial Prize

Awarded to the student who obtains the best overall results in the courses Survey Law and Ethics and Cadastral Surveying N from the Bachelor of Geoinformatics and Surveying program based on examinations and practical performance in these courses.  Value:  $200

National Environmental Law Association
Prize (Undergraduate)

Awarded to the student with the best performance each year in Planning Law in the Bachelor of Planning or the Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning.  Value:  $100
 

Planning Institute of Australia Prize - Undergraduate Student

Awarded to the student with the best overall performance in the final year of the Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning.  Value:  $250 and a certificate

 


Building and Planning

Surveyors, SA Chapter Student Awards

Master of Project Management Prize (Hong Kong)

Awarded annually to the graduand with the highest grade point average in the Master of Project Management program offered in Hong Kong.  Value:  HK $3,000

 


Transport Systems Engineering

Urban and Regional Planning

Hassell Planners Urban Design
Award

Awarded each year to the student completing the best Urban Design project or study as part of the Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning, Graduate Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning or Master of Urban and Regional Planning.  The prize is intended to be used towards the cost of travel to examine urban design projects within or outside South Australia and a short report is required.  Value:  $500
 

National Environmental Law Association Prize (Postgraduate)

Awarded to the student who has the best combined performance in the Graduate Diploma in Regional and Urban Planning or in the Master of Regional and Urban Planning.  Value:  $100


Planning Institute of Australia Prize -
Postgraduate Student

Awarded to the student for the best overall performance in the Graduate Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning or Master of Urban and Regional Planning.  Value:  $250 and a certificate
 

Urban Development Institute of Australia Prize
