UniSA is home to the longest-established planning school in Australia, celebrating 60 years of planning education in 2009. A highlight of the program for many students is the opportunity to take part
in an international urban design studio, held in Penang,
Malaysia, each September. This studio, like most of the other elements of
coursework in the program, focuses on real‑world issues and on resolving
contemporary social and environmental problems.
