With the help of local sponsors, Foodworks Montague Farm, Clean SA (who provided biodegradable serving ware), Nippys Orange Juice and Aroma Coffee – staff from UniSA's School of Natural and Built Environments and the Centre for Environmental Risk Assessment and Remediation recently served a pancake breakfast to hundreds of University staff, local businesses and residents. The enjoyable community event raised $1000 for the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal.
This money is in addition to a $100,000 donation by
the ATN Universities to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal. A group of
students from NBE are also planning to do volunteer work for the
Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment to assist in the
bushfire recovery.
Thank you to all people for supporting this event and to the students
and staff involved in ongoing support to this cause.
