Travel to the Barossa Novotel
The
Barossa Novotel is located approximately 1 hour by car from Adelaide
Airport.
Travel to the conference venue can be in any of the following ways:
- By bus leaving the City East campus of the University of South Australia at 4.00pm on Tuesday the 7th July 2009. Those delegates and partners who travel at that time will be transported from the University of South Australia City East campus to the Barossa Novotel at no extra cost to them.
Those delegates and partners who do not use the service described above can travel to the conference venue via other means but will have to do so at their own cost.
These other means of transport include:

Hire car: The Barossa Novotel is a drop off point for Europcar who have a hiring point at Adelaide airport. This is an economical way to travel if there is more than one person or if you intend to stay on to tour the Barossa valley after the conference. Current approximate costs for 4 days hire, unlimited kilometres, insurance etc with a return to Adelaide airport is in the order of $200.

Taxi: Taxis from Adelaide Airport to the Barossa Novotel charge approximately $130. This is an economic way to travel for 2 or more passengers.

Public bus Service: Barossa Valley Coaches operates a public bus service daily leaving the Adelaide Franklin Street bus Station at 12.45 pm and arriving at Rowland Flat (Near the Novotel Resort) at 2.20pm. A later service departs at 5.45pm and arrives at Rowland Flat at 7.00pm. This mode of transport takes longer than the others because of the drop off points but it is a good way to see some of the small northern Adelaide towns. Current costs are $17 per person. In addition you will need to allow $12 shuttle bus fare from Adelaide airport to the Franklin Street bus station.

Charted bus: Travel from the Barossa Novotel to Adelaide Airport Travel from the conference venue back to Adelaide Airport has been arranged via a charter bus system. The buses will leave the conference venue at 11.00am sharp on Friday the 10th July 2009. Those delegates who travel back to the airport at that time will not incur any extra costs. Those delegates and partners who do not use the service described above can travel to the Adelaide airport via other means but will have to do so at their own cost.
