Submission Details

Abstracts

Abstracts should be prepared in English.  Abstracts are not to exceed 300 words and are due by 15th January 2009.  They must include: the name(s) and affiliations of the author(s), title, summary of content of the intended paper and keywords.  The name, postal address, facsimile number and e-mail address must be given of the person to whom correspondence is to be directed.  The author(s) should indicate whether they have any special requirements for their oral presentations.  All accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings subject to peer review acceptance. 

Abstracts should be e-mailed to the conference co-ordinator Ms Jayne Kwiatkowski.

Final Manuscripts

A)     Full papers should be prepared in English and submitted in a Word compatible electronic file. These should be sent via email to: jayne.kwiatkowski@unisa.edu.au  

B)      Microsoft Office Word 2007

C)     Format

  1. 3000-4000 words approximately
  2. A4 paper, one-and-half spacing.
  3. Margin: 2.5cm top/bottom; 3.5cm left/right
  4. Times New Roman, 12 point.
  5. Main headings – Bold & all in capitals.
  6. Sub-headings – Bold and lower case.
  7. No underlining.  

D)     Structure

  1. Title, author(s), affiliations, full address
  2. 100 word (maximum) abstract outlining purpose, scope and conclusions of paper, and selected keywords
  3. Text – Introduction, Main Body, Conclusions, References
  4. Tables/Figure – titled & numbered
  5. Harvard Referencing

Proceedings  

Accepted final manuscripts will be published in the conference proceedings and will be available as part of the conference package. The authors of the 12 best papers will be invited to extend their papers into chapters for a book dealing with construction research and education.
