Hypatia scholarship
Jointly with the School of Mathematics and Statistics, the Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics supports the Hypatia Scholarship Program, named in honour of Hypatia of Alexandria, for mathematically talented women completing their year 12 studies. While primarily educational, the Hypatia program aims to introduce these gifted students to research at the earliest opportunity. Indeed, two out of three graduates from the initial cohort went on to PhD studies, while the third is working for DSTO. This program is sponsored by DSTO and SA Water.
For more information, see the Hypatia Scholarship Program page.
