Research Support
The establishment of the PBRC during the period 2009-2013 is supported by research infrastructure funds in excess of AU$2,500,000, provided by the University of South Australia’s Research and Innovation Portfolio and by the key external stakeholder, the Australian Centre for Plant Functional Genomics Pty Ltd (ACPFG). In addition, the School of Mathematics and Statistics is providing further support in the form of both direct and in-kind contributions.
Current research grants held in the PBRC include a AU$540,000 grant from the International Science Linkage program of the Department of Education, Science and Training and a AU$183,000 grant from the International Generation Challenge program. Each grant supports a specific research project related to wheat and barley plant phenotyping.
