New course - Marketing Practicum A for DBMK

This is a new program that will enable you to get some real marketing
experience and put your prior learning into practice.
Details of Program
Applicants will apply and be interviewed to work in teams of two in an
organisation sourced for you by the Practicum Coordinator. You will have a
contact person within the organisation, and work onsite for one day per week
over 12 weeks. Along with the onsite work, you will complete a 2 hour workshop
each week.
The Practicum will count as one 4.5 unit course towards the Bachelor of
Management (Marketing).

Prerequisites
Completion of 5+ marketing courses and a GPA of 4.5+ is required.
Assessment for Practicum
You will be assessed by completing a Project Plan (15%), Progress
Presentation (15%), Final Presentation (15%) and a Final Report (55%).
Projects
Potential projects could include competitor analysis, pricing study, post
analysis of product launch, evaluation of website, segmentation study, branding
audit, or a range of diverse activities which relate to your prior study.

- Good understanding of marketing principles
- Advanced computer skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels of management
