How can students get help?
Use your tutor
If you have questions that concern the content of marketing courses or the marketing program like:
- how is this marketing concept applied in this situation?
- what is the preferred format required for this assignment?
- what does this question really mean?
then you should ask your lecturer or tutor during the course tutorial or discussion sessions, or during the times when tutors are generally available.
Talk to the Student Advisor
If you have questions about the marketing degree, such as program transfers, course choice, credits for previous study or requirements for your degree, then make an appointment at the School of Marketing to see Ms Kathie Guy, Student Advisor.
Use Campus Central and the Learning Connection.
Campus Central is your first point of information for program and administrative information.
Don't forget that the Learning Connection is ready to help with either personal or study problems. The Service also runs programs on report writing, how to handle tutorials, how to relax, assertiveness training, exam preparation and so on. The Language Centre is available to help students who have English as a second language. The Foreign Student Advisor organises support for overseas students. The Careers and Employment Advisor provides a range of services for students seeking jobs. Equal Opportunity Officers are also available for advice and support.
Web Support For Marketing Courses
The School of Marketing uses the University's UniSAnet as an online teaching resource for all students studying marketing courses. It is designed to give you the best possible communications system while you are taking our courses. In addition, this facility gives students the experience in using electronic communications that employers now expect of any graduate.
Comprehensive and up to date course information is provided for each course taught. The information may vary somewhat for each course, but generally includes full details of the course outline, teaching staff, contact information, lecture and tutorial timetables and (for most courses) complete and up-to-date collections of lecture overheads. Tutorial feedback and example exam questions are also provided for most courses.
