Research concentrations in the School
The School has very active research programs focussed upon two
research groups which specialise in areas of marketing. These groups
undertake research work for, and sponsored by, industry and research granting
bodies like the ARC.
Ehrenberg-Bass Institute for Marketing Science
The Ehrenberg-Bass Institute for Marketing Science is a vibrant young research centre, the largest of the University of South Australia’s funded research centres. It has a national and international reputation for empirically grounded academic research, in particular the search for empirical generalisations in buyer behaviour and brand performance. The Ehrenberg-Bass Institute for Marketing Science has a strong track record of working closely with industry and combines the resources of a large academic R&D centre with an in-house computer assisted telephone survey facility.
In Australia, we provide our clients with leading edge market research services, both qualitative and quantitative. We operate at the high quality end of the market, providing reliable trustworthy results.
We provide our clients with insightful, useful information and re-usable knowledge, not semi-digested data.
R&D Initiative
Internationally, we undertake marketing's R&D Initiative in collaboration with London South Bank University. The R&D Initiative is a unique program funded by participating companies across Europe, Australasia and North America. These 70 companies are some the world's best known brands using real data to identify key learning and empirical generalisations to ensure marketing can contribute as effectively and efficiently as possible to the organisations' revenue goal.
The R&D Initiative has produced dramatic discoveries, knowledge and insight that can be used again and again by managers.
The Ehrenberg-Bass Institute for Marketing Science has more than thirty specialist researchers located in offices in Adelaide, Sydney, London and Vancouver.
