  Study Policing at UniSA

SA PoliceThe Bachelor of Management (Policing) is open to South Australian Police Officers only. There is an entry requirement of the Advanced Diploma in Policing, or equivalent and a permanent appointment to Constable. 
 
The objective of the SAPOL initiative to develop and establish an undergraduate degree is to enhance professionalism and provide appropriate tertiary education award recognition for SAPOL members undertaking relevant internal and external studies. The Degree in Policing is to be a voluntary degree, with broad opportunities to recognise the study, internal/external courses and experiences police officers have acquired during their career.  This should include recognition of what has been achieved both professionally and privately with the ultimate aim of enhancing police services and personal development whilst ensuring the degree is highly relevant to serving police officers.
 
The Bachelor of Management (Policing) provides a professional level of education for South Australian Police Officers. To this end the degree is designed to enable graduates to acquire skills, knowledge and attitudes that will assist them to work and develop as productive and socially responsible Police Officers in a local and global context.
 
Alternatively, students may choose to continue with postgraduate study to further advance their knowledge in management.
 
Applications into the degree are to be lodged via SATAC either online or in hard copy. The hard copy SATAC guides can be purchased at newsagencies across the state.

Entry requirements:
Advanced Diploma of Policing or equivalent; and Permanent appointment to Constable.
Equivalent includes: Police Studies Certificate + 14 years SAPOL  service or Associate Diploma in Justice Administration + 5  years SAPOL experience
