Postgraduate scholar's journey through a PhD or Masters by Research can be fraught with many learning challenges. To assist scholars through this period UniSA provides a number of learning opportunities. These include Learning and Teaching Unit (formerly known as Learning Connection), Research Education Support Activities (RESA) and Library sessions.
Every year in September the Division of Business hosts the BUE Postgraduate Colloquium. This provides scholars the opportunity to present aspects of their research to their peers and academics in a relaxed atmosphere. Feedback and comments following a scholar's presentation can be an invaluable source of information.
The School of Management provides Postgraduate Scholar's Networking Forums three times a year. These are generally held in March, July and November. These forums provide scholars the opportunity to present aspects of their research in either a poster format or as a 10 min presentation. For more information concerning Networking Forums contact Beverley Schutt.
In addition, a number of postgraduate scholars are involved in informal discussion groups. These informal groups provide scholars the opportunity to discuss and share experiences, offer draft pieces of writing for feedback as well as develop a deeper sense of research across various disciplines and interest areas. If you are interested in being involved in a discussion group, contact Wendy Bastalich at the Learning and Teaching Unit.
