Dr Pank

Dr David Pank, an honorary doctor of UniSA, was an optometrist who later became director, managing director and chairman at Laubman and Pank. Dr Pank was instrumental in establishing Sola Optical, a company that pioneered the development and marketing of impact resistant plastic CR39 lenses, now used throughout the world.

An innovator in enterprise, Dr Pank was passionate about training and development and believed everyone should be encouraged to develop their full potential. The Pank Prize was established by Dr Pank and the Pank Family Trust to help UniSA students foster the development of new business.
