Summer School
The summer school will run from 10-4pm on Mondays, commencing on Monday 11 January and concluding on Monday 15 February. There will be no class on Monday 25 January.
Enrolments open 1 December. The course is offered internally only, and will be limited to 40 students, so be quick!
Assessment
There are four items of assessment in the course. They are a 500 word written assignment, an online presentation, a reflective journal and an exam. All assessment items are individual, not group assignments.
The workshop in Week 1: big event
In the first week of SP2 there will be a single "big event" to open the course. This will be on Thursday from 12-3pm. There will be no lectures and no tutorials in week 1. (There will be a similar event in the first week of SP5 for students enrolled in that study period.)
Enrolment in Business and Society
When it comes time to enrol for SP2, students will need to enrol in the workshop, a lecture, and a tutorial class.
Business and Society is a new course in the first year core for all students in the Division of Business (except those enrolled in the law degree).
All continuing students in degrees in the Division of Business will receive a transition statement which shows whether or not they are required to complete Business and Society and whether or not they can do Business and Society as an elective, based on the courses they have already done.
