School of Management research approach
The School of Management has a significant research track-record in terms PhD's numbers and publications. The topics researched include human resources, strategy, tourism, sports, risk, the arts and ethics.
 
Publications have been in international journals like the Academy of Management Review, British Journal of Management, Journal of Operational Research, Industrial Relations and Systems Research as well as industry specific academic journals. The research methodologies employed by the School vary considerably from logical positivism, to interpretive, to pragmatism, to post-modernism. In-line with the overall identity of the University of South Australia, the School believes its research should be of immediate use and improve peoples' lives.
