Recreation, sport and tourism industries and services remain
important to Australians. The leisure industries (sport, recreation,
tourism, arts) are part of a dynamic, growing and global sector.
Increased growth in these industries means that continuing employment
options for graduates exist in a range of areas.
Sport and Recreation graduates may find work with local, state or federal government, private companies, sporting associations and clubs, sports centres, community recreation organisations, event management companies, aquatic centres, health and fitness centres, various disability-specific organisations and charities, cultural exhibitions, galleries, museums and convention centres. Graduates may take up positions as development officers, administrators, event managers, recreation programmers, marketing managers, executive officers, research assistants, youth development officers.
