Netiquette is a term commonly used to describe the rules for electronic communication. Here are a few hints about communicating via your discussion board:
- Take time to write your posts concisely and clearly--don't type out and send a message quickly--take the time to read what you have written and think about how it might be misconstrued.
- Always be courteous regardless of how insulted and angry you feel--once you have sent off a discussion board posting there is no turning back.
- Use punctuation to ensure that your true meaning is adequately expressed
- Try to address only a single idea, or issue within your communication--it is likely that only one will be answered and you will need to send further messages.
