On April 2nd, high achieving students were acknowledged by staff and industry representatives for their academic achievements in 2008. The annual Prizes and Awards' ceremony was held at the Adelaide Pavilion. Students were awarded industry sponsored prizes for achieving the highest grade in particular courses; the highest grade point average (GPA) across program core courses and the highest GPA in a combination of courses.
Four students were also awarded the School of Management Honours' Scholarship to assist with their continuing studies. The School of Management currently awards around fifty individual prizes to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The event was a success, with 130 attendees - including prize recipients, family and friends, industry representatives and School of Management staff. Head of School, Professor John Benson, said that the event was important in identifying outstanding students.
"This recognition is important, not only to the students and their families but also allows the wider community to show their strong support for the School and its students."
