Orientation for students with disabilities

The Welcome Workshop below is specifically for students with disabilities. For more information on other orientation activities that will be relevant to your program of study, please see the New Students website.

Welcome Workshop

The Disability Service will be running a 'Welcome Workshop' in February 2009 for commencing students with disabilities.  Find out about services, meet other students and get some tips for a successful start to your university study.

Light lunch included.  All welcome.

Eligibility

A disability includes any impairment or medical condition which may affect a student's ability to undertake a program of study successfully. The definition of disability is broad and is defined in the Disability Discrimination Act (1992) which includes:

 A disability may be permanent, short-term or episodic in nature.
