Early Preparation Workshops
Early Preparation Workshops are offered on each campus for students who are:
- mature age
- external (off-campus)
- from bridging programs
- have credit from TAFE
- have English as an additional language
They provide 8 hours of information and activities scheduled over two consecutive days or evenings.

Students who have attended early preparation workshops in previous years have described them as:

Topics
Topics covered in the workshops include:
- academic reading and writing
- what to expect at university
- note taking in lectures
- roles of teaching and other staff
- managing change
Note: City East workshops in 2009 will be offered for Nursing and Midwifery students. Students from other programs are welcome to join in workshops on other campuses.
