Moodle Learning Management System
Moodle will provide:
- A more strategic positioning for the University with respect to meeting emerging and future teaching and learning requirements including the expected growth of fully online programs.
- A robust, scalable and flexible online environment that fosters student learning and facilitates interactions between learners and between learners and teachers.
- A stable, responsive and seamless online teaching and learning environment that significantly reduces the current operational risks associated with the current aging in-house developed learning management system.
- Pedagogical innovation including support for Step 2010 curriculum renewal and experiential learning initiatives that include practice-based learning, strengthening the teaching-research nexus and the opportunity for service learning.
- A stimulating and rewarding higher education experience for students which will strengthen the University's capacity to attract and retain future students.
- Better collaboration and content creation tools for students leading to higher levels of engagement with the online environment and ultimately improved learning outcomes.
