ePortfolio

ePortfolios are areas where students can showcase their work in a course, display their personal photo, and list personal accreditations.

Such electronic evidence may include inputted text, electronic files such as text files, images, multimedia, blog entries, and hyperlinks. e-Portfolios are both demonstrations of the user's abilities and platforms for self-expression.

The learnonline ePortfolio tool will exist as an integrated online system, with relationships to the Moodle LMS and Student Portal. Currently a trial of ePortfolio functionality is being undertaken using PebblePad however the decision to continue with PebblePad (or implement an alternative solution) will be reviewed by the learnonline Project.

One of the key objectives of the Project is to determine what requirements the University has for ePortfolio capabilities and to undertake a formal analysis of what is currently being used (and what is currently available in the market) to identify the optimal ePortfolio solution for UniSA.

An ePortfolio Strategy Group has been formed, with members drawn from across the University, who will assist the project team with this activity.

The learnonline Project will identify an optimal ePortfolio solution, and implement the solution as part of the development and deployment of learnonline.
