The UniSA Law School is pleased to announce the recent appointments of three highly professional and experienced academics who bring with them expertise in diverse and modern areas of law.

Her main area of research relates to international economic law including intellectual property law. Sally's Phd, submitted and currently under examination, is entitled "An international law perspective of the protection of human rights in the TRIPS Agreement - An interpretation of TRIPS in relation to the right to health." Sally joins UniSA as a lecturer in Law.
Rachel Spencer joins UniSA Law as the Director of Professional Programs. She has extensive experience with the Law PLT programs after spending 10 years as Director of Practical Legal Training at Flinders University. Rachel has previously worked as a corporate solicitor for Austereo and also for the Orlando Wyndham Group, a barrister and solicitor in Commercial Litigation, and is currently a supervisor at the Adelaide Magistrates' Court Legal Advice Service. Rachel's expertise in the area of practice will be highly valuable to further UniSA Law's industry focus.
Dr Melissa De Zwart joins UniSA as an Associate Professor in Law after 12 years of lecturing at Monash University. She previously headed the Legal department of CSIRO, has completed a Master on the topic of moral rights, and also completed a PhD about the intersection of copyright and contract in the digital age. Her areas of expertise include internet and cyberlaw, electronic commerce, copyright and IT. Melissa will bring a new perspective on technological law to UniSA.
These new academic staff members will no doubt bring yet another dimension to the diverse and innovative Law School at UniSA, helping us teach our students the most modern aspects of Law.
