Our building
History
The School of Law is located in a heritage-listed building on the corner of George and Hindley Streets.
The Hindley Street offices were built during the war years and completed in 1941, to be used as the headquarters for the South Australian Brewing Company. Extensions were added to the building in 1956.
In 1984 the South Australian Brewing Company moved its offices to Thebarton, leaving the Hindley Street offices to the Australian Institute of Management.
The building was designed by prominent architect Kenneth Milne. It's wood panelling and wrought iron gives it a simple elegance, perfect for a Law School.
