Background
Stephen Grano is a metallurgical engineer with specific expertise in mineral flotation, flocculation and solvent extraction. Stephen worked in industry for 5 years before joining the Ian Wark Research Institute at the University of South Australia in 1987. Stephen is active in professional consultancy in industry.

Research Interests
His current research interests are in the field of mineral flotation including circuit simulation and modelling, process development, bubble-particle interactions, flotation froths, adsorption of collectors, depressants and polymers onto surfaces, interfacial electrochemistry of metal sulphides and oxides, dissolution and oxidation of metal sulphides, particle interactions, gold flotation, and the effect of grinding on flotation.
