PhD and masters scholarships (International)
The following scholarships are available to support international higher
degree by research students in the Ian Wark Research Institute.
Australian Government Scholarships
International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) - This Australian government scholarship program is open to students from any country (except citizens or permanent residents of Australia and New Zealand). The IPRS scholarship
will cover tuition fees and overseas student health cover (OSHC) and provide
a stipend (living allowance).
When submitting their application for postgraduate studies, applicants should indicate if they wish to be considered for an IPRS scholarship.
The closing date for IPRS Scholarships is 31 August in each year for studies commencing early in the following year.
University/Institute Scholarships
University of South Australia President's Scholarships (UPS) - These have similar benefits to the IPRS described above. That is, the tuition fee
and overseas student health cover (OSHC) is paid by this scholarship, and a
living allowance is paid by The Wark. Applicants must have applied for an International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (see above) and be nominated by the Ian Wark Research Institute. Therefore it is important that applicants arrange a project and supervisor with
The Wark so that we can nominate you as having particular suitability for our research interests.
