School of Advanced Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering

  1. Induction of student at the first week of student arrival by supervisor, research coordinator and school administrator.

  2. Around 4 to 5 months into candidature, the student needs to submit the proposal to his/her supervisor.  Feedback will be given for alteration of the proposal if necessary.

  3. Once the supervisor has approved the proposal, the student will submit it to the Research Coordinator.  The Research Coordinator will examine the proposal.  This examination usually includes discussion with the student and the supervisor.  If necessary, revisions are recommended. The student  submits the proposal again after revision.

  4. The final version of proposal will be signed off by the supervisor and research coordinator before the proposal is forwarded to the Research Office.

  5. All research students in AME are now required to present their progress to an audience of staff and students around September every year as a part of the annual review process.
