Our Research and Consultancy
Research and consultancy is well established within the Division of Information Technology, Engineering and the Environment at both the Mawson Lakes and City East campuses.
Division researchers have established a good record of funding from national competitive grants, and a significant proportion of the research is conducted in cooperation with an extensive and expanding network of national and international industrial and research organisations.
Assisting with the viability of research is the close proximity of Technology Park to the Mawson Lakes campus and the strong connections with the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO) and many other major organisations.
The Division and it's associated five academic schools are associated with the leading research institutes of the university and responsible for five university funded research centres, two university recognised research groups and various non-university funded research areas.
Associate Professor Jill Slay is the Dean: Research in the Division and assists Heads of School and leaders of research concentrations with research development planning in their areas of responsibility, including the provision of academic leadership in research and the development of a strong research culture within the Division.
