The Division of Information, Technology, Engineering and the Environment (ITEE) is both a traditional university division and a genuine hub for theoretical and applied disciplinary and cross-disciplinary research. The Division has a diverse and multi-cultural environment with over 300 academic researchers and more than 320 PhD students, located at our Mawson Lakes and City East Campuses.
Our academic schools, flagship research institutes and related research concentrations are at the cutting edge of teaching, research and knowledge transfer in areas that are among the most significant to modern society.

The Dean of Research, Professor Jill Slay is responsible for Division Research Leadership and especially in managing and mentoring research staff in their own development and in growing PhD student numbers, research income and in supporting the development of research quality. She is supported by Lynne Elvin, School and Concentration Directors and Research Leaders and Research Education Portfolio leaders.
