Guest speaker Dr Javaan Chahl is the lead for the UAV corporate enabling
research program in DSTO. He has worked for over a decade on different aspects
of unmanned aerial systems research in DSTO, industry and academia. His research
has ranged from aerodynamic design, to control systems and biology.
Join us for the first of a series of presentations hosted by the University of South Australia's Defence Science and Technology Forum. This is an opportunity to share ideas, identify trends and facilitate collaboration in defence science research and development.

Science Experience at niSA, January 2011
3 days of hands on fun for year 9 and 10 students

The Science Experience is designed to provide students, who have an interest in Science or Engineering, an opportunity to engage in a wide range of interesting and entertaining activities under the guidance of professional academics and scientists who love their work.
The program will introduce Year 9 and 10 students to university life at UniSA's Mawson Lakes and City East campuses. Students
will participate in Science and Engineering workshops. Activities include; building an electric motor, investigating
, robotics, engineering in nature, making sun screen, testing exercise performance and the science behind sport and fun with microorganisms.
