Industry placements

Studying engineering at UniSA allows students to participate in industry placements throughout the duration of their studies. This provides students with an opportunity to develop links with industry and extend their skills, knowledge and practical experience.

Students at the School of Electrical and Information Engineering are involved in industry sponsored or linked final year projects and many graduates find employment in organisations including Tenix, DSTO, BAE Systems and SAAB Systems as a result of the experience and contacts they gain during the project. Final year projects are also conducted within the School's research concentrations, familiarising students with modern research practices.

The School of Advanced Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering also has strong links with industry, allowing students to gain relevant experience in their final year project. Every student has a choice of either an industry based project or a research based project with one of the School's research centres. Projects are both interesting and challenging and many students have been employed by the organisation they undertook their project with. Look at some examples of projects and the range of organisations you could expect to become involved with.
