Do I need additional software to connect to the wireless network?

If you use 802.1x to connect to the UniSA wireless you will be required to have WiFi Protected Access (WPA / WPA2) security protocols installed.

• WPA requires Windows XP Service Pack 2 installed
• WPA2 requires Windows XP Service Pack 2 with the Microsoft Hotfix KB893357 installed.

Windows Operating Systems, Apple Mac PC's and iBooks running OS X.3 or greater can also use the preferred Cisco VPN client.

Please note that the PPTP protocol is no longer supported on the University's network.
