When working on a pool or barn computer always save your files to My Documents, do not use the desktop. If the computer fails or reboots for any reason while you are working your files on the desktop will not be recovered. Periodically save your files to a USB flash drive or CD/DVD-RW media. All computer pool PC's are equipped with front USB ports and CD/DVD-RW drives for this purpose. Do not edit your work on a floppy disk or a CD/DVD-RW, copy your files to My Documents and work from there. Floppy disks, especially pre-formatted floppies, are prone to failure if they are written to repeatedly.
