Some versions of the Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi chipsets will intermittently stop transmitting data or continually connect to different access points. This problem has only been found in devices using the following versions of the Intel PROSet wireless chipset:
You can determine the version number of your driver by double clicking on the wireless icon in the system tray and clicking 'Properties' (or if the "Wireless Networks Connections" dialog appears, click "Change Advanced Settings"). In the 'General' tab click 'Configure' and then 'Driver" from the tabs.
To resolve this issue, download the current Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi driver from the following Intel site: http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/detect.htm.
