How do I configure Internet Explorer to access UniSA websites?

This document helps you to configure Internet Explorer to access UniSA websites, and provides the solution to the most frequent problems accessing email.

Step 1:  Open Internet Options
 
  • From the Tools menu select Internet Options.

Step 2:  Clear cache and cookies
 
  • Click the following buttons, the two messages as shown in 2a and 2b will show up, follow the instructions in 2a and 2b to continue.
 Delete Cookies
 Delete Files

Step 2a:  Delete Cookies
 
  • Select OK to clear the cookies.

 

 

 

Step 2b:  Delete Temporary Internet Files
 
 Tick the "Delete all offline content" box.
 Click the "ok" button.

Step 3:  Reset the default Security level
 
 Click the Security Tab.
 Click the "Internet" icon.
 Click the "custom" button.

Step 3a:  Reset to medium security
 
 Click the drop down box and select "Medium".
 Click the "Reset" button.
 Click on the "ok" button.

Step 4:  Reset the default Privacy level (This section is for Internet Explorer version 6+ only)
 
 Click on the "Privacy" tab.
 Move the security slider until "Medium" is highlighted.
 Un-tick the "Block pop-ups" check box.
 Click the "ok" button.

Step 5:  Close browser
 
  • Close Internet Explorer.
  • You may also need to reboot the PC.
You will now be able to re-open Internet Explorer and login to OWA email, MyUniSA and other UniSA sites.
