Requesting a fixed external staff IP address & firewall access
In order to use Video Conferencing at your desktop you will need to
complete an Internet Access Change Request form (available to IT Support
Staff only) from the
Internet Access Change web page.
The form should be completed using your computer's current IP address and DNS name
(IEO233322.ml.unisa.edu.au). Under the software that requires access
section you should enter:
“Add to Video Conferencing Firewall Group”
You should then provide justification why you require this
access and then request the an IT Support Staff member to sign and return
the form to the IT Help Desk for processing.
If approved, the nominated computer
will be then be allocated a fixed external IP (130.220.*.*) address for your
nominated building
location and access through the firewall.
Purchasing the Video Conferencing Software
NB: Video Conferencing software should only be purchased once the fixed External IP
(above)
has been allocated.
