UniSA SOE - Information for IT support staff
Introduction
The University's Standard Operating Environment (SOE) is a recommended and supported set of standard application software for use on all UniSA desktop and notebook computers. The UniSA SOE was created and is maintained by the UniSA SOE Reference Group represented by: ISTS, BUE-IT, EASS-IT, HSC-IT, ITEE-IT and Library IT. The purpose of the SOE is to reduce the IT support overhead and total cost of ownership.
It is preferable that you use pre-built image rather than build it from the instructions linked below. Once you have the image you can install additional software and customise settings to create a localised version of the UniSA SOE specific for your area. Using the existing pre-built image as a base will ensure consistency and greatly save time and duplication of effort.
The UniSA SOE will be regularly reviewed and updated as required by the UniSA SOE Reference Group. Feedback and suggestions regarding the SOE should be made to the UniSA SOE Reference Group via the IT Help Desk.
