The Information Strategy and Technology Services Unit provides:
Technology Management Services
- management of core information technology services such as data networks, telephone systems, e-mail, and
access to the internet,
- computing access points for students in the form of computer pools, barns and walk ups,
- a range of "help" services to assist students and staff to make best use of the University's
IT environment,
- policies, procedures and guidelines for the use of information technology within the university,
- development and implementation of appropriate information systems security and disaster recovery plans
Management Information Services
- provision of timely and relevant information to support management decision making and to meet statutory
requirements,
- technical management of the computer systems which facilitate the University's core administrative
processes, including the student information system, the human resource system and the finance system
