How do I install Oracle 10G for Vista?
This does not work as an upgrade from other versions of Oracle 10G. You will only be able to install the Oracle 10.2.3.0 Vista patch.
The Vista release is located under \\software\Oracle-ISTS\Oracle10G 32Bit\Patch 10.2.0.3
To install - unzip file. We recommend you copy the files to the local drive.
Run setup.exe as the Administrator account- Note this needs to be the Administrator account, not an account that is a member of the local administrators group.
You will be prompted for authorisation. Enter credentials. You will then see the Welcome screen.

Click Next
Select Custom and click Next
Select SQL *Plus 10.2.0.3.0 and Oracle Windows Interfaces 10.2.0.1.0
Deselect Oracle Services for Microsoft Transaction Server 10.2.0.3.0, Oracle Administration Assistant for Windows 10.2.0.3.0 and Oracle Counters for Windows Performance Monitor 10.2.0.3.0
Ensure the following are selected; Oracle Objects for OLE 10.2.0.3.0, Oracle ODBC Driver 10.2.0.3.0, Oracle Provider for OLE DB 10.2.0.3.0 and Oracle Data Provider for .NET 10.2.0.3.0
Click Next
Oracle will perform a prerequisite check. Once this is complete click Next
This will take you to the end of the installation. Click Exit
Click Yes
