Please note that the following information applies to the installation of a SPSS product on a privately owned computer system. University owned equipment should normally have a "Network Licence" installation where users can borrow a "Commuter Licence". Information on obtaining a "Commuter Licence" is available from the "SPSS - Software Licensing" web page.
Who can use this software at home?
If you are a full time current UniSA staff member and the primary user of a UniSA owned "on campus" computer system (ie not a shared computer) that is licensed to use a SPSS product then you are also permitted to use that product on your home computer.
The SPSS licence agreement does not permit part time or casual staff to use SPSS products on privately owned computers. Part time or casual staff staff must use SPSS products on a University owned computer on campus or purchase a commercial licence.
Students including full time, part time and Post Graduate (inc. Masters by research and PhD) do not have any work at home rights for SPSS products. Students are able to purchase a "SPSS Grad Pack" from a bookshop such as Unibooks.

Installation Media
You'll need to complete a "SPSS Work at Home Software Media Application" form and send it to the IT Help Desk. ISTS will mail to you the installation CD's once your form has been processed. On the application form you will need to nominate the asset number of the system that is licensed for SPSS. If your "on campus" work computer is not licensed for SPSS then you will need to apply for a licence separately. For information on how to obtain a SPSS licence please visit the "SPSS - Software Licensing" web page.
