Software Licensing - NVivo

Introduction

The University has a volume licence agreement with QSR that allows the use of NVivo for a yearly fee.

Who can use NVivo?

Under this licence agreement NVivo can only be used by current UniSA staff and students on University owned (must have a Blue Plate) computer systems on campus.

Licence Conditions

Conditions apply for the use of  University licensed software.  These include:

How to obtain a licence and install the product (including renewals)

To use NVivo you must complete a NVivo Software Licence Application form and return the fully completed form to the IT Help Desk.  Local IT support staff will then install the software on the nominated UniSA owned computer.

Licences issued for NVivo expire on the 12th June each year and you will need to re-apply for a licence in order to continue using NVivo.  Applications for licence renewals should only be sent to the IT Help Desk after the 1st June as renewals cannot be processed until after this date.

A valid licence covers the single installation of any NVivo version (currently supported), for the term of your licence.  Once your licence expires you will need to uninstall the software from your PC.

Download the NVivo Software Licence Application form.
