Software Licensing - Microsoft Applications
(Select Agreement)


Introduction

The University has a licence agreement with Microsoft (Academic Select Plus Agreement) that allows us to purchase selected Microsoft application licences. Microsoft products covered under this agreement include all those products that are not covered by our Campus Agreement. (CAUDIT)   A sample of popular application products covered by this agreement are listed in the price list linked below.

Who can use Microsoft application products under this agreement?

Microsoft application products covered under this agreement can only be used by current UniSA staff and students on University owned (must have a Blue Plate) computer systems.

Conditions apply for the use of  University licensed software.  These include:

Note:  Existing Office 2003/2007 licence holders will need to purchase new Office 2010 licences before they can install Office 2010 products.  There are no upgrades available for these products.

How to obtain a licence and install the product

To obtain a licence for a Microsoft application product covered under the Select agreement you will need to complete a Software Licence Application form and submit to the IT Help Desk.  Once your form has been processed you will be notified and be given access, along with your nominated installer, to the installation files.  In due course you will also be sent a licence certificate to prove that you are entitled to use the product.

The Microsoft price list linked below contains a sample of  the more commonly requested products.  For Microsoft application products not listed you should contact the IT Help Desk for availability and pricing.  Please note that the product versions listed do change from time to time.  Prices listed are indicative.

Can I use this software at home?

No. There are no work at home rights for Microsoft products covered by this licence agreement.
