Designated PC Suppliers

The following companies are designated suppliers of PC Desktop, Notebook/Tablet and Server systems to the University of South Australia.  Suppliers can only provide equipment and approved models for the hardware category as listed below.

The panel of designated PC suppliers was determined after the submission of tenders and a subsequent evaluation process.

Purchasing arrangements with these suppliers includes a range of UniSA mandatory services including: network registration, asset tagging, electrical testing, compliance with software licensing conditions, 3 year warranty, installation of UniSA SOE, etc.

Prior permission must be obtained from the Director of ISTS or authorised delegate to purchase computer systems from a supplier which is not part of this designated panel, a case must also be made to purchase non approved models or equipment makes.  More information on purchase exemptions is available from the "Computer System Purchase Exemption Procedures" page.

Designated Apple Suppliers

The following companies are designated suppliers of Apple systems to the University of South Australia. 

The panel of designated suppliers was determined after an evaluation process.

Apple equipment should only be purchased where there is a particular academic or research requirement.  It should be noted that Apple systems are not a strategic direction of the University.

Only the designated suppliers listed above should be used by a cost centre for supply and support of staff Apple systems. Prior permission must be obtained from the Director of ISTS to purchase computer systems from a supplier which is not part of this designated panel.

Personal Purchasing Offers for UniSA Staff & Students

University staff and students are able to privately purchase computer hardware from a number of suppliers at discounted prices. The level of discount and the range of equipment available varies between suppliers. More information can be found on the web pages below:
