Introduction
Authorised staff are able to purchase the "Standard Desktop Systems Bundles" from UniSA Designated PC Suppliers. Purchase of "Standard Desktop System Bundles" ensures the University receives maximum product discount and promotes standardisation of hardware across the University.
Quotations and purchasing for desktop systems can only be made online by authorised UniSA staff via the relevant supplier purchasing portal. Staff requiring a supplier purchasing portal account should contact the IT Help Desk stating the type of access required:
- Quotation; or
- Purchaser (only authorised UniSA staff will be given "Purchaser" access).
Standard Desktop System Bundles
The following table outlines the specifications of "Standard Desktop Systems Bundles" that are approved and recommended for purchase and use by University staff. Authorised staff are able to obtain quotations and purchase these configurations from one of the UniSA Designated PC Suppliers of desktop systems.
Please note the specifications below are a guide only and that specifications and options will vary slightly between each Designated PC Supplier. Specifications of UniSA "Standard Desktop System Bundles" are regularly reviewed by IT support staff.

Mandatory Services
Suppliers must provide the following services with all Desktop System purchases:
- Installation of UniSA SOE (client optional).
- 3 year on-site "next business day" warranty.
- Network card registration for connection to the UniSA wired network.
- Affix UniSA asset label (Blue Plate).
- Affix UniSA warranty expiry label.
- Electrical testing and tagging of all equipment.
- Delivery to specified University address.
Optional Services
Suppliers are able to provide the following optional services when requested (note: optional services may incur additional fees).
- Unpacking, system setup and packaging removal.
- Installation of any additional licensed software (proof of licence must be provided to the supplier).
- Affix any additional labelling required for leased equipment.
Other approved desktop PC configurations
Other approved models are available for purchase from UniSA Designated PC Suppliers where there is a particular requirement. Quotations and purchases of other approved models can only be obtained from local IT supports staff who are contactable via the IT Help Desk.
Non approved desktop PC makes and/or configurations
Prior permission must be obtained from the Director of ISTS or authorised
delegate to purchase computer systems from a supplier which is not part of
this designated panel, a case must also be made to purchase non approved
models or equipment makes. More information on purchase exemptions is
