How do I make a Teleconference Call?

Any Teleconference call made with 8 parties or less, should be made via the University PABX provided that the person initiating the conference call is connected to the PABX. Use of the PABX significantly decreases the costs incurred for your conference call.

Conference Calls that exceed 8 parties can be booked via the Switchboard by dialling '9' if calling internally or by dialling 83023576  if calling externally.  Alternatively you can email ists-reception@unisa.edu.au.  Please note: You will need to provide all teleconference call details at the time of making your booking. 24 Hours notice MUST be provided to Switchboard staff in order for them to seek the appropriate arrangements via the University teleconference supplier.(Telstra & ACT Teleconferencing)

If you are unsure whether you have the appropriate access on your Phone for making this call, contact the IT Help Desk who can check your phone access for you.  For instance if you have local access only and have the need to call an interstate party you should pre arrange the appropriate authorization prior to making the call.
